Hybrid APU Integration

Integration of a high-speed hybrid auxiliary unit into a regional aircraft platform — thermals, controls and weight envelope.

Brief

The programme demanded an integrated electric powertrain solution capable of meeting motorsport-grade performance under sustained duty — without compromising packaging or mass envelopes.

Approach

We led the design through the NeurotorQ workflow, surfacing a Pareto front of candidate machines and refining mechanical, thermal and control architectures in parallel. Hardware prototypes were validated against representative duty cycles in our test cells before integration.
